University College Cork

University College Cork, also known as UCC, was established in the year 1845 and is a public University. It is the first university in the world which was conferred with the International green flag for environmental friendliness and also the first university to meet up to the ISO 50001 standard in Energy Management in the year 2011.
The university has around 21,000 students enrolled with it in various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs. The number of international students studying the university is 3,000. The alumni of the university are also very large, numbering 150,000.
